Calabash Marina reflects the rich maritime heritage of Calabash, North Carolina, a town celebrated as “The Seafood Capital of the World.” The site, once home to a historic marina that served local fishermen and boaters for decades, has been thoughtfully revitalized and transformed into a state-of-the-art facility. Construction on our marina began in 2021 and was completed in 2023. Our dedicated efforts brought new life to this cherished location, preserving its history while building a modern marina designed to meet the needs of today’s boaters. This blend of historical charm and contemporary amenities ensures Calabash Marina remains a beloved destination for both locals and visitors.
Calabash Marina offers an unparalleled experience
Calabash Marina caters to a wide range of boat types and sizes and is committed to providing an exceptional customer experience for all guests. Members can call to have their vessel launched, placed in the water, fueled and ready to go, waiting for them upon arrival, allowing you and your family to spend more time on the water. Upon your return, the team will retrieve your vessel, rinse down the hull, and flush your engine before placing your vessel back into your dry rack.

How do I book?
To book a rental boat at Calabash Marina, visit our website and navigate to the Boat Rentals section, where you can check availability and complete your reservation online. You can also call our marina directly to speak with a team member who can assist you with booking and answer any questions. Walk-ins are welcome, but availability is limited, so we recommend reserving in advance to secure your preferred date and boat.
What is your cancellation policy for rentals?
Our cancellation policy at Calabash Marina is non-refundable, but we are happy to offer a rain check that you can use within the same calendar year. If weather conditions or other circumstances prevent you from enjoying your rental, simply contact us, and we’ll work with you to reschedule your trip for a later date.
What type of contract options do you offer?
At Calabash Marina, we offer annual contracts to secure your boat slip for the year. While our standard agreements are annual, we may be able to accommodate short-term requests on a case-by-case basis depending on availability. Can I modify my booking?
Yes, you can modify your booking at Calabash Marina, subject to availability. If you need to change your rental date or adjust your reservation details, please contact our marina office as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request, but changes are not guaranteed and may be subject to our cancellation policies.
What payment methods accepted?
At Calabash Marina, we accept all major credit cards for both boat rentals and storage. For storage payments, we also offer ACH payment options, which are free of charge. Please note that all credit card transactions include a tech fee, while ACH payments have no additional fees. If you have any questions about payment options, feel free to contact our marina office.
Is fuel available on-site?
Yes, fuel is available on-site at Calabash Marina. For your convenience, we will fuel your boat before launching so you’re ready to hit the water as soon as you arrive. You can request fuel service by calling the marina office or using the Speedy Dock app to schedule it in advance. Let us take care of the fueling so you can focus on enjoying your time on the water!

Moved in May from AZ to NC and I am so fortunate to have found Calabash Marina. Besides the staff being phenomenal and location on the ICW, the experience of being able to call or use app to launch boat, get on my boat, come back and they take care of flushing the engine bring boating to a level i have never experienced. It’s been fun seeing the Marina grow as its being completed.

Put my deposit down before the marina opened. Money well spent! Great facility! On the Calabash river, so no constant traffic, but just a short run to the ICW. Screened porches overlooking the dock, spacious office and (soon to be open) ships store and bathrooms with showers! Friendly and helpful, Tim, Lorraine, Adam, Jerry and all the others make this a really nice place!

Gem of a marina, tucked away from the busy ICW on the beautiful Calabash River. If you are a fisherman, you are close to the action here. The screen decks overlooking the peaceful river add a dimension missing from other area marinas. Love it!
